Editorial policy
Bright Screen Stories aims to make screen craft clear without flattening its ambiguity. We separate description from interpretation, check factual statements against suitable material before publication and correct errors when they come to light.
Accuracy and interpretation
We take care with names, dates, production details and historical claims, and distinguish those from readings of a scene. Interpretations are presented as ways of seeing, not as facts that every viewer must accept. When an article depends on a particular version or context, we say so where relevant.
Independence and partners
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is labelled clearly so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee a favourable account or editorial mention.
Corrections and illustrations
Readers can send a correction through the Contact page. We review reports, amend confirmed errors and make the change clear when it materially affects an article. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are identified as such and are not offered as documentary images.
A screen rewards a second look.
A moving image is made of choices, not just pictures. Slow down with us to notice what a frame, a sound or a pause lets into view.
